12-13 July 2023 – UN House – Beirut, Lebanon – The UfM will participate online in the “Multi-stakeholder Platform for Protecting Biodiversity: Inception Meeting” to be held hybrid on 12 and 13 July 2023 at the UN house in Beirut, Lebanon. The aim of this inception meeting is to initiate the development of bankable projects along three thematic areas: NBS, addressing land degradation in arid agricultural ecosystems and exploring trade-offs with renewable energy. The UFM will intervene during a panel on “Enhancing Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Resilience with Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)” and will discuss the best policies to ensure effectiveness and long-term success.
