Overview
Berytech is looking to hire a Financial Controller.
The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting and finance activities including maintenance of the accounting system and standards and delivery of key financial management reports, as well as working closely to support the sustainability of the finance department through coaching of accounting team and continuous communication with all Berytech teams. The FC also assists in compliance audits and monitors internal controls to ensure achieving the organization objectives.
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
Leading and analyzing annual budget preparations and reviews in coordination with relevant program directors
Establishing trends and comparing actual against forecast, in order to identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business
Assisting or fully creating the budget, including incorporating historical data
Creating and monitoring company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal control
Coordinating with external financial, compliance and tax auditors
Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting
Ensuring compliance with local law, tax provisions and relevant industry and financial regulations
Providing financial reporting and analysis to guide decision-making
Mentoring and managing the accounting and financial staff
Overseeing audit findings and work on their resolutions under the supervision of the Finance Director for new implementation.
Ensuring program and finance compliance with Berytech’s and donors’ policies and procedures
Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent from an accredited university
Five to eight years progressively responsible experience in accounting with at least two as a manager of a team, preferably in the NGOs or service companies.
Knowledgeable in Lebanese Ministry of Finance regulations, IFRS, and SSNF
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
