Zoom In: Legendairy, A Plant-Based Alternative to Dairy Products
Jan 18 2023
Legendairy offers plant-based alternatives for dairy products to vegan consumers, health enthusiasts, and lactose intolerant individuals. With the increasing demand of plant-based dairy and the scarcity of alternative vegan products, Legendairy has created a traditionally fermented Labneh using bean blends and other plant-based ingredients. Their aim is to make vegan alternatives that are not only healthy, but also authentic in taste, texture and nutritional composition.
“We applied to the Agrytech Accelerator Special Edition with the hope of making our vegan Labneh product market-ready and scale our production from a home-based to an industrial operation.
We’re glad to say that through the support of the Agrytech Accelerator Program, we were able to upgrade to an independent facility with the capacity of producing consistent industrial quantity with a smooth workflow. We’ve also developed Legendairy’s brand identity and brought its industrial formulation a step closer to launch in 2023.
Throughout its journey in the Agrytech program, Legendairy has had the honor of establishing valuable connections with entities and professionals in the Netherlands, and through this opportunity it has recognized the importance of collaborating with like-minded partners.
Due to the deteriorating economic and political situation, we faced our fair share of challenges when it came to procuring scarce raw materials and managing the logistics of our business.
With the support of the Agrytech Program and its international connections, we’ve managed to make these problems more manageable.
Legendairy’s aim is to become a regional brand for the manufacturing and supplying of vegan dairy alternatives with a reputation for upholding authentic taste and healthy ingredients. Through its continuing journey, Legendairy also aims to expand its line of plant-based alternatives and increase accessibility and awareness of vegan alternatives across the region.”
