PHEMAC Innovation Week – October 10-11, Beirut, Lebanon
Within the framework of the project Participatory Hub for Effective Mapping, Acceleration and Capitalization (PHEMAC) funded by PRIMA – EC, the Climate Change and Environment Program at the American University of Beirut’s Issam Fares Institute of Public Policy and International Affairs is organizing the PHEMAC Innovation Week.
This event will take place in Beirut, Lebanon on October 10 – 11, 2022. The main objective of the event is to bring together researchers, policy makers, investors, industry players, SMEs, startups, and entrepreneurs working in the fields of Water, Energy, and Food (WEF) Nexus to explore the opportunities in the WEF Nexus in Lebanon and the region in the hope of opening doors for strategic partnerships across the MENA region.
Additionally, the two-day event will serve as a space created for discussions and exhibition of innovative products, services and ideas in a realm of science diplomacy. It will represent an occasion for a closer inspection of the WEF Nexus standing and realities through a series of events that will include a regional conference, a focus group meeting, a Participatory Impact Pathways Analysis (PIPA) workshop and a brokerage event.
Connecting and bringing together peers and key stakeholders in the WEF field, this event will present an opportunity to open up possible collaboration and growth opportunities. Join guests from the region’s most active business clusters, industry players, prominent academics, international experts, technology transfer agencies, policymakers, and Research and Development institutions, for a nexus approach discussion on the latest innovations and insights in the Water, Energy, and Food sectors to forge new relationships and commercial chances, to expand collaboration and growth potential in Lebanon and the MENA region.
