Apr 29, 2020News

Coping with Covid-19 crisis, PHEMAC considers that it could be possible an adaptation of certain activities addressed to:

  • Identify implemented best practices within the mapped projects that could be easily translated to health sector from agricultural and environmental sectors or to gather further insights on identifying waste management handling practices according to local, national and international standards, as well as segregation and storage processes of volumes of waste and their impact on water resources,
  • Understand the impact of COVID-19 on projects KPIs (at scientific, economic and technological level) as well as the evolution of original projects’ proposed target TRL and outputs maturity,
  • Gather additional information of surveyed projects about the adaptation process and the implementation of digital tools, virtual meetings and remote work to quickly and comprehensively convey information and the analysis of pre- post- pandemic projects management,
  • Comprehend at the econometric level the impact of the outbreak in the ease of marketability and commercialization of project outputs that probably involved the rethinking of original assumptions or reprioritization of aims,
  • Include a new section within the best catalogue practices to reflect projects’ best practices
  • Evaluate the feasibility of including changes within the iHub to reflect identified good practices/projects,
  • Identify impacts on the technology transfer, the translation of research outputs to the market or the modification of the private sector degree of involvement on the development of projects,
  • Provide funding agencies with additional information of surveyed projects and obtain better knowledge on outbreak impact on their funding programme’s sustainability
  • Analyze the future PHEMAC outreach programme adaptation to support project results better adapted
  • Implement regular clustering activities through virtual media with identified project coordinators in order to share the experience on how COVID-19 has affected the scheduled project activities,
  • Comprehend at the econometric level the impact of the outbreak in the ease of marketability and commercialization of project outputs or the rethinking of original assumptions or reprioritization of aims.
